If the shoes are small, they can damage the foot and cause blisters. On the other hand, if they are too big, the foot slips and, instinctively, you will lift it by exerting more force with the front of the neck, to avoid losing the shoe.

5. Try to choose shoes that fasten at the ankle

High-heeled shoes that feature laces on the ankle and stripes on the neck are much easier to put on because the foot enjoys better support. On the other hand, those without a strap and practically uncovered tend more easily to cause disturbances.

  • Trick: Choose those that have a T-neckline.

6. Use insoles

You can find on sale models of insoles to be placed in two different points of the foot. Depending on which part of the foot is most sensitive to the shoe, you can insert an insole under the toes or under the heel.

7. Hydrate your feet

  • Tip: apply some moisturizer on the inside of the shoes, spread it well and let it dry. Repeat this process for several days in a row to soften the material a little.

8. Cool your shoes: the best way to use high heels

Inside the shoes, insert bags filled with water. Make sure they are tightly closed and there is no possibility of leaks. Then take another bag and put your shoes inside. Put the bag in the freezer and leave it for several hours.

Passing from a liquid to a solid state, the water exerts pressure on the shoe and “stretches” it a little, preventing it from causing peeling.

In the summer, another trick to stretch and soften your shoes a little is to take several sheets of newsprint, roll them up, moisten them with a little water and put them in your shoes, leaving them there for about 24-48 hours. Then the paper balls are removed and the shoes are left to dry in the sun.

9. Instead of high heels, use wedges

Choosing to use wedges allows you to increase the sole of the shoe by a few centimeters. Consequently, this trick allows you to wear a higher heel more comfortably, without the foot being affected too much. Since 2 to 3 centimeters are removed, the whole foot and leg will feel some relief.

10. Avoid soles that are too thin

Soles that are too thin offer little support to the antero-lower part of the foot. Rubber soles are better because they absorb the pressure exerted when walking, relieving the impact on the soles of the feet.

Follow these tips for using high heels and you will look great, without aches or pains.
