The word cure might make you think of something complicated or restrictive, but it’s just the opposite. Water care certainly has some precise rules, but they are simple to apply. Here they are:

  • As soon as you wake up, drink 400 to 600 ml of plain water. It is important to drink it before consuming any other food. In total, the amount of water could vary from 4 to 6 glasses, depending on the capacity. The ideal is that the water is at room temperature or lukewarm if it is very cold. If you want some flavor, you can add some fresh lemon juice, but no sweeteners.
  • Brush your teeth and wait 45 minutes – one hour before having breakfast. Don’t worry if you are always very hungry when you wake up: the amount of water introduced should help you feel full and be able to wait these three quarters of an hour.
  • Have a light breakfast. It must be complete with all nutrients, but above all include natural, organic and good quality foods. Avoid processed foods, meat and fats.
  • A good option are smoothies or salads, or a cup of milk with oats and nuts.
  • Your other meals also need to be light  for the water cure to really work.
  • In the two hours after meals, you must avoid introducing any liquid, however you must make sure you take the recommended two liters of water.

  • You can add a pinch of salt to the water to facilitate hydration of the body. In this case, you need to take into account any health problems. If your doctor has prescribed a low sodium diet, avoid this. Your body will absorb all the water it needs naturally. 
  • Avoid caffeinated drinks, alcohol, or irritants of any kind. The water cure for weight loss aims to heal the body, which will be more sensitive to the damage caused by these drinks. To avoid problems, set them aside for some time.
